First Clue - Audio/Text

[ The first sound out of the comm was a suspicious thump thump thump. Someone’s testing to see if it’s on, maybe? After that, someone whistles what sounds like the acknowledging warble a computer might make. After that is a long, tense pause, followed by a grunt. The audio flicks off, but typing starts after a few more moments. ]
Gunney? Dare?
[ Another long pause before the typing continues. ]
This isn’t New Mombasa. This probably isn’t even Earth, is it? Where am I?
[ More importantly, where are his guns?!]

Date: 2009-11-29 03:24 am (UTC)Yeah, caves. This boat isn't like normal boats. There's caves, flowers, a golf course...loads of other stuff. It's kinda neat.

Date: 2009-11-29 03:47 am (UTC)The golf course I can see, but... this isn't a normal boat, is it.

Date: 2009-11-29 05:18 am (UTC)One of the others here makes it normal enough for me. But maybe a little strangeness will do me some good.

Date: 2009-11-29 05:21 am (UTC)This way. [She starts heading to the stairs, she's not fond of elevators or enclosed spaces, not anymore.]
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-29 05:26 am (UTC)[ He doesn't mind stairs, but he somehow prefers lifts. Elevators mean he's not having to watch back and front all the time. But he'll take the stairs anyway. ]
If you ever hear someone with a really deep voice start talking about relics or Forerunners or gods, you avoid them, okay?

Date: 2009-11-29 05:30 am (UTC)[She's a little claustrophibic D:]
Uh...okay. I can do that. Any reason why?
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-29 05:34 am (UTC)[ He's stuck in a drop pod most of his time; claustrophobia would be detrimental to his job >_> ]
Because him and all of his kind have been trying to eradicate humanity for as long as I can remember.

Date: 2009-11-29 05:39 am (UTC)Sounds kinda like what the 'Cons were doing back home. Trying to blow up our sun counts as trying to kill us all, right?
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-29 05:49 am (UTC)Hell yes that counts. Sounds like they'd get along great with the Covies, as long as they have some kind of religious conviction.
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-29 06:01 am (UTC)Thought so. [She ponders for a moment.] I think the Fallen counts as a religious figure. Best I can tell, he was one of the...originals mechs, thought to be waaay long dead.
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-29 06:33 am (UTC)The Fallen? Not familiar either, but with a name like that, he sounds bad. [ He shakes his head a little. ] Covies follow this race we call Forerunners. They left a bunch of ruins on a lot of worlds and then just disappeared.
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-29 06:45 am (UTC)He was...really bad. Really, really bad. The one who wanted us all dead, besides Megatron. [She ponders.[ Homm...sounds familiar. The 'Cons left an...energon harvester on our world from forever ago, then showed back up, wanting to activate us and obliterate us all.
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-29 06:58 am (UTC)Megatron sounds worse. Energon? [ He flexes one hand before continuing. ] I'm not sure why the Forerunners left all their crap. But the Covenant take whatever they find and reverse engineer it to use against us.
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-29 05:12 pm (UTC)Well, that sounds eerily familiar too. A lot of our technology back home was reverse engineered from Megatron while he was frozen in the governments 'basement', the Hoover Dam.
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-29 05:48 pm (UTC)That's a new one on me. Bet that Megatron guy didn't appreciate it - sounds like he un-froze. [ He pauses for a moment, chuckling humorlessly. ] Didn't get any plasma weapons from it, I hope?

Date: 2009-11-29 06:46 pm (UTC)This is where the sushi bar Kuma-Ko is. [She points as she leads the way into the room.] Don't freak out at the bears, they won't hurt you and they're really nice. You just tell them what you want, and they make it for you. Also, there's a bar on this floor too. There's a gift shop here too that has stuff like sunscreen and clothes, but if you need something to wear, deck 12 is totally the way to go.
[She'd actually been meaning to head to the bazaar and to deck 12. She wants a camera!]
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-29 07:51 pm (UTC)Bears? [ He peers in. Oh cripes, it's like cuddly Brutes without the armor and the bad smell. This is so awkward for him. ] I'll try not to freak out. Deck 12 has more shopping, or something?
How much is all of this going to cost? I'm afraid I left my wallet back in New Mombasa.
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-29 09:05 pm (UTC)Yeah, bears. See? [She points.] They won't hurt you. And yeah, Deck 12 has loads of stuff. You don't have to worry about money, either. It's a bit of a free for all, everything is free here.
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-29 09:22 pm (UTC)[ Rookie's eyeing the bears cautiously, wishing he could flick on his VISR without blinding himself. Just to see if it's true they won't hurt him. ] Everything? Wow. What are we supposed to do, then?
[ Kage told him to relax. He's not sure how to do that without falling asleep somewhere awkward. ]
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-29 09:28 pm (UTC)Yeah, everything. And...well...I mean, there's a lot to do here, I guess. There's a pool, caves, a big maze that I didn't bother getting lost in, um...a flower field and a mini golf course.
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-29 11:35 pm (UTC)Not so fond of flowers or golf, I take it? [ Though he makes a note to check out the maze sometime. Sounds interesting. ]
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-30 12:18 am (UTC)Anyway, if you're not hungry, I can show you deck 12, where you'll find whatever clothes and stuff you'll need.
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-30 03:53 am (UTC)I'm good for now. Deck 12, then?
(no subject)
Date: 2009-11-30 04:01 am (UTC)Yeah, if you wanna endear yourself to me, chocolate is the way to go, here. [She nods, then heads back towards the stairs.]
Okay, this way, then.
